[Continuation off 016 - Querty] The prince, though quickly solved the first puzzle, a particularly witty and humorous expression of her plight. When the princess handed him the first stone, their eyes met and he felt the first glimmering of love. The prince rested that night, and returned the next day; on that day, he served her second puzzle. So went he, solving one puzzle a day, and each day becoming more familiar with the workings of her clever mind and falling ever more deeply in love.
On the sixth day, the princess set before him the most difficult puzzle she had ever crafted. This last puzzle was particularly devilish, but the prince refused to admit defeat. For a year and a day, he returned every morning to examine the puzzle; and every night, he worked feverishly at finding the solution. The princess watched him sadly every day; for she had grown to love him, as well, she was certain the puzzle could never be solved.
Finally, one night, the prince arrived at the correct answer, and returned to the princess and her tower before dawn with all the trappings of a wedding in tow. The princess, faint with joy, gave him the sixth and last puzzle stone, and the two were married at once.
The princess spoke her first words then, thanking the prince from freeing her from the evil fairy's curse. The two of them had many children and grandchildren, and dwelled together in the city long and happily for ever after.
