#153:The Spider And The Fly
THIS CLASSIC PUZZLE WAS FIRST CREATED IN 1903 FOR
THE STRAND MAGAZINE BY HENRY ERNEST DUDENEY, ONE
OF THE GREATEST PUZZLE-COMPOSERS OF ALL TIME.
IN A ROOM MEASURING 12M X 12M X 30M, THERE IS A
SPIDER IN THE MIDDLE OF ONE OF THE SMALLER WALLS,
1 METRE FROM THE CEILING. SHE SEES A FLY, TOO
PETRIFIED TO MOVE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OPPOSITE
WALL, 1 METRE FROM THE FLOOR.
WHAT IS THE SHORTEST PATH THE SPIDER CAN CRAWL,
WITHOUT LEAVING A SURFACE, TO GET TO THE FLY?

The Old Town Part 3
The area of the Old Town delineated
by Caldera Street, Restoration Lane
and New Hampden Street has seen
a new influx of residents and small
businesses in recent years, with the
renovated Montclear Court and
gardens being an integral part of the
area\'s image.
