MORGAN'S MYTHS EXPLODED
A MORGAN PRIDE PUBLICATION

Morgan’s isn’t an illness. It isn’t something that needs to be cured. Morgan’s is a unique way of looking at the world. The medical establishment spends far too much time and energy on so-called ‘cures’. What Morgan-abled people need is acceptance and equality.

Having Morgan’s is not a disability. Within the Morgan community, having Morgan’s is an advantage. The Morgan-abled can connect more clearly with their emotions and are able to express themselves more freely without unnecessary levels of complexity.

The Morgan-abled are no more or less intelligent than norms. It is just that intelligence tests do not accurately measure Morgan intelligence. Intelligence tests are not impartial, they are highly restrictive and success in them depends on a lot more than intelligence.

Morgan culture is as rich and varied as non-Morgan culture; the Morgan-abled simply have different ways of expressing themselves, without using puzzles and codes.

Most of the Morgan-abled are nothing like the character of Pip portrayed in Sophia Westernra’s Baffled. Westernra is not Morgan-abled herself and her research methods were not rigorous.
